[signe intranscriptible] Exchange of Observers and Instruments. Besides these Paris-Greenwich longitude determinations there should be at least 6 determinations in each of the two stages, Spring and Autumn, of difference of longitude of the two stations at Greenwich and at Paris by exchange of observers on nights which are clear at one station and cloudy at the other. A copy of their observations to be sent immediately after the completion of each part by the English observers to the French and by the French to the English. W. H. M. Christie Astronomer Royal.
